Arushi Jain

Arushi Jain is a modular synthesist, singer, producer, radio host and engineer with an unorthodox vision of a centuries-old tradition – one that’s electronic and resolutely DIY. Her compositions are inspired by Hindustani classical ragas, explored in an aesthetic that is contemporary and current. Her music is a unique reinterpretation of her two contrasting worlds colliding. Arushi grew up in Delhi, where she was exposed to Indian classical and other regional music from a young age. Later, Arushi moved to California to study Computer Science at Stanford University, where she was introduced to computer generated sounds and synthesis at the Centre for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA). In her music, ancient ragas from North India are re-imagined with the tools and technologies she learnt as a synthesist and technologist in the Bay Area. Her last album, Under the Lilac Sky was released on Leaving Records in July 2021, and was named the Guardian’s Global Album of the month. Her work has been featured on Pitchfork, Bandcamp, Boiler Room, Ableton, Resident Advisor, FACT, Crack, DJMag, and more. Arushi is the founder of GHUNGHRU, a radio series and record label, and is a resident at NTS Radio and boxout.fm. She is popularly known by her online moniker @modularprincess.

Her anticipated new album Delight, is out on March 29th on Leaving Records.

Nihar

Nihar is a South-Asian American experimentalist, musician and sound designer based in San Francisco, CA.

Nihar’s live sets often mixes the sounds and rhythms of the 21st century global supply chain with textures that evoke the dissociative, isolating and depressive effects of neo-liberal culture.

The music also lingers on the romance and ecstasy of intimate connection, the virtue of rejecting professionalization and work, as well as the possibility of collective confrontation with power, forming counterpoints to a fundamentally bleak vision of our times.

Nihar has has released music on influential underground labels such as Squirrels on Film, Psychic Liberation, Jacktone Records and Ascetic House. He is also the co-label head of Left Hand Path, which has been featured in The Wire, Resident Advisor, Fact Magazine and elsewhere for its incredible track record of releases.

He has contributed DJ mixes to globally renowned series such as The Bunker NY and Honey Sound System, and a b2b mix by him and his frequent collaborator Jason Polastri was included as a pack-in CD with the 6th Vinyl release from Silent Servant's iconic record label Jealous God.

Elias Agogo

Elias Agogo (aka Elias Foerster) grew up in southern Germany and started exploring music in various ways from an early age on. The convergence of relocating to Montreal and eventually Oakland, Ca, with the ending of an extensive period of touring with his former Krautbeat outfit Sea Moya set free a new energy and space for experimentation within his musicianship. Interests in Ambient music, long form live improvisation and the introduction of the Alto Sax created a new sonic framework for his latest work. Elias recently started the tape label All Ears Intl. and released the album Neuhermsheim with his brother Simon Foerster on Harp and himself on electronics. Another collaborative release called Into The Glass Portal with Khang Tran came out in early 2024 on Termina Records, featuring texture heavy Ambient Techno. Besides his live performances, Elias can be found in DJ booths at some peoples favourite places.
